New website launched with help of Dogs Trust aims to stop animal lovers being duped when it comes to buying an animal


It’s estimated 1,000 new adverts for pets appear online every day in the UK.

Now, a number of animal welfare charities, veterinary bodies and trade associations have joined forces to launch a new advisory website to stop animal lovers being duped.

37% of people surveyed by charity Dogs Trust have admitted to doing no research before buying an animal. will hope to change that by offering advice, managing expectations of would be pet owners and giving updates on scams.

The charity rehabilitates and finds new homes for dogs which have been abandoned or given up by their owners.
